Founder Head (HoD): Prof. Ranjit Tamuli

The post graduate department of commerce was started in the year 1995 with only two faculties. As of today the department is equipped with well furnished classrooms, internet and wifi facility. The department has 10 qualified and dedicated faculty members. The department also maintain departmental library for free access of books.

The department currently offers two year (4 semesters) post graduation programme (M.Com) under CBCS system, one year (2 semesters) Post Graduate Diloma in Banking and Insurance (PGDBI), M.Phil and Ph.D programme. Under the aegis of the department, one year Diploma in Computerized Accounting (DCA) has also been started w.e.f. 2015-16 under the Community College Scheme of the UGC at RGU.
