A Book release ceremony was held in the office of Honourable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Saket Kushwaha, Rajiv Gandhi University, Rono Hills, Doimukh. Dean, faculty of Education, Prof. Rachob Taba welcomed all the guests and requested Dr.Anga Padu to brief about the books. Dr. Anga Padu addressed the august gathering and told that present book was the outcome of a National Seminar organized in the Department of the Education on the theme “Contemporary Indian Society Issues and Challenges with Special Reference to North East India” sponsored by ICSSR-NERC and Rajiv Gandhi University, published by Akhand Publishing House, New Delhi. Total 37 participants presented their papers in the seminar. Papers presented in the seminar have been compiled in the form of two books. Volume I contain 18 papers and 26 contributors while Volume II contains 17 papers contributed by 22 contributors.
Prof. Saket Kushwaha, Vice Chancellor Rajiv Gandhi University, while speaking on the occasion congratulated both the editors of the book, Dr. Anga Padu and Mr. Narender Singh, and wished them a happy and prosperous career ahead. Prof. Kushwaha also emphasized that research is the backbone of our profession and we all should contribute immensely. He also guided the editors of the books to send the copies of the books to libraries of various central universities and state Government of Arunachal Pradesh. Prof. E Hangsing, Head Department of Education, Prof. J. Sahoo, Prof. Kesang Degi, Dean Student welfare, Prof. T. Lhungdim, Prof. P.K Acharya and all other colleagues congratulated the editors of the books and wished them success in their academic career.
