Live screening of ‘Pariksha pe Charcha’ telecasted from Talkatora Stadium, New Delhi was organized by Rajiv Gandhi University in Smart Theatre in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering on 20 January 2020.
This was the third edition of ‘Pariksha pe Charcha’ where the Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi interacted with the student from across the nation in issues related to examination and other topics of education. Interacting with the students ahead of the board examinations, he said that good marks in exams are not everything and “we have to come out of the thinking that exams are everything”. Responding to a question, the Prime Minister said, “We can add enthusiasm to every aspect of life. A temporary
setback does not mean success will not come. In fact, a setback may mean the best is yet to come.” At the live event 2,000 students, teachers and parents with over 1,000 students who have been selected through an essay competition took part.
RGU too witnessed a full house at the hall where students from various departments attended the program.
The screening of the live telecast was held at multiple locations in the campus with more than 450 participants. There were about ninety participants in the Smart Theatre of Department of Computer Science and Engineering and about more than a hundred in EDUSAT Hall. Apart from these two major locations, the students and faculty members watched the event at respective departments using campus Wi-fi. Prof. P. K.
